“The Enlightenment Caravan” – an expression of common goals
On June 19–21, in the Jizzakh and Samarkand regions, the “Enlightenment Caravan” scientific and educational outreach events on the theme “Civilization, Culture, and Enlightenment” were successfully held in cooperation with the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the “Ma’rifat” Propagandists Society, the Public Fund for Supporting the Civil Society Institution under the Oliy Majlis, and several other organizations and institutions.
A prelude to confident steps toward a prosperous life
In this initiative, scholars, intellectuals, and cultural figures across the regions truly came together. The significance of the outreach events lay in the fact that they covered even the most remote areas of the regions. These events contributed to the unification of intellectuals across the country and inspired citizens to move toward a common goal, offering tangible benefits to the public. Projects such as “The Value of Humanity”, “The First Step Toward a Prosperous Life”, and “One Nation – One Goal” boosted the well-being of the local population and elevated the morale of the citizens of New Uzbekistan. The seminar-trainings conducted for them aimed to enhance their scientific potential and served as a prelude to their confident steps toward a prosperous life. The projects were financed by the Public Fund for Supporting the Civil Society Institution under the Oliy Majlis.
The mega project is sparking great public interest
At every meeting held in the Jizzakh and Samarkand regions, sincere remarks were made about the ongoing reforms in New Uzbekistan within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan – The Foundation of a New Renaissance” project. Extensive information was shared about the construction of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, established under the initiative of the country’s leadership, and efforts to enrich it with artifacts. During events held in the neighborhoods of Samarkand city and Payariq district, as well as with the residents of Jizzakh city and students of the Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute, comprehensive details about the complex were presented. Participants also shared ideas on how to enrich the center’s collection. They expressed genuine support for the construction of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan – a one-of-a-kind and unparalleled institution in Central Asia – and eagerly anticipate the opening of this historic site. As part of the “Social Ideas” forum, propagandists were further convinced of this enthusiasm while listening to the startup ideas and innovative proposals presented by proactive youth, aspiring scholars, and researchers.
Meeting Between Scholars and Youth
As part of the “Scholars and Youth” forum, students and young researchers from Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Jizzakh Pedagogical Institute, Samarkand State University, and the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Livestock, and Biotechnologies showed great interest in the event. They received detailed answers from experienced scholars to their questions of interest and exchanged skills and experiences related to acquiring knowledge.
Bringing Cinema to the People
Within the framework of the scientific and educational outreach events, the “Living History” project was implemented. In particular, the “Cinema Caravan” project was warmly welcomed by the public. With the participation of renowned filmmakers and beloved national artists, screenings of local films were organized. Mobile cinemas across various regions showcased entertaining movies, special animated films for children, and the educational animated film Home. Additionally, residents had the opportunity to get answers to their questions and share their thoughts and impressions about the films shown.
Outreach events culminated in a festival
While the scientific and educational outreach events throughout the day were filled with lively discussions and thoughtful debates, the evening concerts and enlightenment gatherings truly demonstrated how people united under the slogan “One Homeland – One Goal”. Propagandists, scholars, and intellectuals came together to uplift the spirits of the public. Beloved national singers performed with enthusiasm, poets recited verses, and scholars and cultural figures passionately spoke about the positive outcomes of the ongoing reforms in our country. As a result, citizens’ hope and confidence in the future grew even stronger.
