The Period of the “Second Renaissance” Was Recognized at an International Forum
The megaproject underway in our country the “Second Renaissance” exhibition organized at the Center of Islamic Civilization Uzbekistan at the initiative of the Head of State is gaining increasing international relevance for the themes it encompasses.
A vivid example of this is the international conference held in Berlin, Germany, under the theme “Innovation and Masters of Art: The Contribution of Turkic Peoples to Global Science and Culture”.
This was reported by the “Dunyo” Information Agency.
The conference was attended by official representatives of Turkic states, diplomats, scholars, experts, diaspora activists, and members of the mass media.
Participants of the forum shared their views on the contributions of Turkic peoples to world civilization, the scientific legacy of great scholars, and the study of cultural masterpieces.
Felix Lühning, Scientific Researcher at the Archenhold Observatory in Berlin:
“I delivered a lecture at the forum about the scientific legacy of the great astronomer and genius scholar Mirzo Ulugh Beg. The precision of his astronomical measurements holds immense value for global science. Unfortunately, Ulugh Beg’s great discoveries have not been adequately recognized in Europe. Yet, his legacy is significant not only for his own era but also for contemporary science.”
Nilufar Tokhboeva, Lecturer at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent:
“At this conference, I presented on the architectural art of the Timurid period and its stages of development. Alongside introducing the architectural and cultural masterpieces of Amir Temur’s era to the German public, I also showcased the projects we are undertaking to virtually reconstruct historical monuments that have not survived to the present day.
In particular, I shared information on the original design of the Ak-Saray Palace in Shahrisabz and the developmental phases of Amir Temur’s mausoleum. Through these efforts, I aim to contribute to promoting the greatness of our ancestors and their scientific and spiritual legacy on a global scale. Currently, we are conducting joint research with our German colleagues to study these historical monuments based on scholarly methodology”.
Special attention is also being given to the “Timurid Renaissance” within the “Second Renaissance” exhibition being developed at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
