The Observatory is Reviving: A Journey into the Mysterious World of Stars with Mirzo Ulugbek
The exhibition dedicated to the activities of the Ulugbek Observatory, his legacy, and the Timurid Renaissance will be featured at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
Today, a special meeting was held to discuss the operation of the observatory, the promotion of Ulugbek’s legacy, and the presentation of scientific achievements from the Timurid era using modern technologies.
The discussion focused on presenting the scientific work conducted at the observatory, the activities of scholars, and the use of astronomical instruments through animated displays. Additionally, proposals were put forward to highlight Ulugbek not only as a great astronomer but also as a distinguished educator, using interactive tools. A visual representation of Ulugbek teaching students and recreating the educational environment of his time is expected to generate great interest.
Special attention was given to presenting the scientific discoveries and achievements of the Timurid era in each sector using modern technologies and delivering them to the wider public through scientific and educational exhibitions.
Additionally, the concept for dedicated exhibitions on the Timurid Renaissance and the history of Uzbek khanates was reviewed. These exhibitions aim to familiarize the public, especially the younger generation, with the rich heritage of national science and cultural history.
At the conclusion of the meeting, practical plans were outlined for each direction, and the relevant responsibilities were assigned to the designated personnel.
