About the Center

Islam, the religion of knowledge and enlightenment, which created the basis for the development of scientists who made an invaluable contribution to the world civilization of Central Asia. Preserving and studying the rich heritage of such great thinkers as Imam Bukhari, Imam Termizi, Imam Moturidi, Khorezmi, Fargani, Ibn Sina, Beruni, Mirza Ulugbek serves to spread the teachings of Islam in the world. This goal is also served by the activities of the Center for Islamic Civilization, established in Tashkent by the decision of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dated June 23, 2017.

The Bahauddin Naqshband Research Center has been established

By decree of the President of Uzbekistan, a new Islamic research center—the Bahauddin Naqshband Research Center has been established in Bukhara.

Azizkhoja Inoyatov, the imam-khatib of the “Chor Bakr” mosque, has been appointed as the Director of the Center.

The new center is located within the grounds of the mausoleum of Bahauddin Naqshband, the great Islamic figure and founder of the Naqshbandi Sufi order.
