A new scientific project dedicated to the study of Pahlavon Mahmud’s legacy is being launched
A new scientific and educational project is being gradually implemented at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, aimed at thoroughly studying and widely promoting the creative legacy of the famous poet, Sufi, and national hero — Pahlavon Mahmud.
Within the framework of this project, a catalog of manuscripts related to Pahlavon Mahmud, preserved in the collections of Uzbekistan and foreign countries, will be compiled. This catalog will, for the first time, provide a comprehensive understanding of the great poet’s written heritage, his works, and the geographical spread of those works.
Another important direction of the project is the preparation of electronic copies and facsimile editions of these manuscripts. This will create significant opportunities not only for academic researchers but also for a broad readership. Publishing the works in faithful reproductions of the original texts will further strengthen their value as cultural and scholarly heritage.
The results of the project will be incorporated into the permanent exhibition of the Center of Islamic Civilization. In this way, visitors will have the opportunity to closely explore the life and creative legacy of Pahlavon Mahmud and directly engage with his works.
