Nearly 80 models of architectural monuments inherited from ancestors will be created
In order to create unique exhibits related to Uzbekistan that are preserved in various parts of the world, specialists and members of the working group gathered to contribute to the formation of the exposition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. Based on the theoretical data collected, scholars and artisans have now begun working on models, replicas, and facsimiles.
Detailed information was provided about each model and replica designated for the exposition sections, and they were distributed among artisans according to their respective specializations. During the discussions, particular attention was given to aspects in which the models and facsimiles may differ from the originals. For example, the replica of ivory chess pieces intended for the “Pre-Islamic Era” section will be made using substitute materials. Additionally, the dimensions of the facsimile copies may differ from the originals by up to 15%. These details were analyzed with the participation of more than 10 skilled artisan experts, and their suggestions were taken into account.
Further information was also provided regarding the architectural models of the expositions. In total, nearly 80 models of historical buildings are expected to be produced. The implementation of the second-tier projects within the first stage is scheduled to be completed by September of this year.
