"Uzbekistan — Land of Scholars": The Legacy of Hadith Studies in the Heart of Islamic Civilization
As part of its mission to preserve and promote the rich Islamic heritage of the region, the Center is developing this comprehensive work, which will explore the lives and legacies of the great scholars who emerged from Mawarannahr and made significant contributions to the science of hadith (hadithology).
The encyclopedia will cover the biographies, academic achievements, writings, and methodologies of hadith transmission used by scholars who lived on the territory of present-day Uzbekistan and played a vital role in the global development of hadith studies. Among the distinguished muhaddiths to be featured are Imam al-Bukhari, Imam al-Tirmidhi, Imam al-Darimi, Abu al-Layth al-Samarqandi, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani, and others.
The publication will be available not only in printed form but also as a multimedia exhibition utilizing modern digital technologies. Visitors of the Center will be able to explore the encyclopedia interactively through electronic devices, gaining access to texts, photographs, historical documents, and video materials.
