Visit to the Historical Monuments and Sacred Sites of Samarkand

Participants of the international conference dedicated to the 1155th anniversary of the birth of Imam Maturidi visited the historical monuments and sacred sites of the ancient city of Samarkand.

To date, over 750 million of the 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide adhere to the Maturidi creed.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan pays special attention to the study of Imam Maturidi's scientific heritage. In particular, a large international conference was organized in Samarkand on March 3-4, 2020. On August 11, 2020, the International Research Center named after Imam Maturidi was established. Currently, two fundamental sources have been translated into Uzbek and published by this center.
