A map of the scholarly journeys of Imam Bukhari and a digital database will be created.

In order to gain a deeper understanding of the life and scholarly heritage of the great muhaddith Imam Bukhari and to convey this knowledge to the wider public, the implementation of another important project is planned. The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan will create a map of Imam Bukhari's scholarly journeys and a digital database.

The main idea of the project is to visually and clearly reflect in the form of an interactive map the path that the scholar began at the age of 16, when he traveled with his brother Ahmad and mother from Bukhara to Mecca for the Hajj. It will also trace the more than 14,000 kilometers he traveled in search of knowledge, including more than 20 cities he visited.

Through this map, one can trace Imam Bukhari's extensive scientific travels to major scholarly centers of the time, such as Cairo, Damascus, Baghdad, Basra, Kufa, and Medina, where he studied hadith. For each city and route point, the digital database will include historical information, scientific achievements, and details about the renowned scholars he met.

The prepared interactive map and digital content will be displayed in the museum exhibition at the Center of Islamic Civilization. This will serve as a valuable resource for young researchers, pilgrims, students, and anyone interested in science.
