As part of the project "Presentation of Documents from Mount Mug in the Exhibition," ancient sources will be presented.

A new project titled "Exhibition of Documents from Mount Mug" is planned at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. In the first phase of the project, documents from Mount Mug of historical value are being collected. These documents were discovered in the ruins of the Mug Fortress near Samarkand and date back to the late 7th and early 8th centuries AD.

Of the 80 collected documents, 74 are written in the so-called "national Sogdian script" or "Samarkand Sogdian script." These written sources are of great significance as materials reflecting the social, political, economic, and legal relations of that time. They provide valuable insights into life, governance systems, and international relations of the period.

The main goal of the project is to prepare copies of these unique documents and present them to the public in the form of an exhibition. This initiative will allow both Uzbek people and international visitors to learn more about the ancient Sogdian script and its historical importance at the Center of Islamic Civilization.
