Virtual journey to the cities of Termez and Rabat

A majestic building for the Center of Islamic Civilization is being constructed in the heart of Uzbekistan's capital, where a magnificent exhibition will be created.

A group of scholars is gathering materials about ancient settlements, fortresses, ensembles, and mausoleums.

A catalog titled "Archaeological Monuments of Uzbekistan" is being created. As part of the project, a 3D graphical reconstruction of the medieval appearance of the city of Ahsikent, the construction of the ancient cities of Sopolitapa and Jarkuton, as well as the medieval settlement of Kovunchitepa, will be carried out.

In addition, the cities of Termez and Rabat will also be reconstructed in 3D graphics, allowing visitors to journey back to the Middle Ages.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Popularization of Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan, the Samarkand Archaeological Institute, the Institute of Art Studies, the National Center for Scientific Research of France, and the Institute of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

As a reminder, following the president's directives for the realization of the megaproject in Uzbekistan—the Center for Islamic Civilization—the goal is to widely present the contributions of our ancestors to world civilization, educate the youth in the spirit of loyalty to this great historical heritage, create conditions for scientific discussions, debates, the promotion of relevant ideas and discoveries, and the development of new scientific content. Over 2,000 local and international scholars and experts have united to fill the exhibition of the Center. In total, more than 800 projects have been developed, which will be implemented in 3 stages. Currently, the first phase has begun, during which work is actively underway on more than 400 projects in collaboration with members of the Scientific Council.
