Calligraphy and book art schools will be established

A discussion on the organization of International Schools of Calligraphy and Book Art was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, proposals for the establishment of the schools were heard. It was noted that calligraphers should not only receive training in the art of calligraphy but also be provided with a broad range of knowledge. It was also emphasized that the schools should take inspiration from calligraphy schools in Egypt, and graduates should be engaged in a wide range of professional activities.

— The art of calligraphy is a great labor that requires attention and diligence. Therefore, its study is associated with significant challenges and demands focus. A calligrapher is a creator. He needs a quiet and bright room. The schools at the Center should be calm and bright, and the classroom capacity should not be too large. "When organizing the schools, these aspects must be taken into account," said the Center's researcher and calligrapher, Najmuddin Faiziy.

According to preliminary data, the school will have 20 classrooms. The students will range in age from 12 to 70, with no more than 8 participants planned per classroom.
