The State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan will present more than 100 artifacts to the Center of Islamic Civilization
As part of efforts to enrich the exhibition of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, scientific expedition working groups are actively operating throughout the country. Based on the outcomes of these expeditions, material artifacts are being reviewed by scholars, and their potential inclusion in the Center’s exhibition is being carefully considered.

A working group established by the Center of Islamic Civilization visited the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan and reviewed its rare artifacts. The visit began with a meeting between the working group and the museum's director, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor Jannat Ismailova. During the discussion, the museum’s leadership presented a list of unique artifacts that will be transferred to the Center of Islamic Civilization on a non-reimbursable basis. According to available information, the Center is expected to receive more than 100 artifacts in total.

"During the expedition, artifacts from ancient periods were discovered, including clay objects, items from temples, and various other historical artifacts. In the field of numismatics, coins from different eras, currency units, and financial symbols were identified, along with objects reflecting the customs and lifestyle of the Uzbek people, such as traditional clothing and tools of labor," - said Alisher Egamov, Senior Research Fellow at the Center of Islamic Civilization.
The working group also examined the layout of the museum exhibitions, their thematic organization, exhibition design, and lighting systems. Special attention was given to recent improvements made in line with advanced international museum practices, as well as the incorporation of interactive elements using modern technologies. Additionally, the group reviewed other unique items from the museum’s collection, including ancient documents, manuscripts, and examples of sculpture.
