A new project is being launched at the Center of Islamic Civilization: *Divan Lughat at-Turk* by Mahmud Kashgari

Mahmud Kashgari’s Divan Lughat at-Turk (11th century) holds a prominent place in the history of Turkic linguistics. Currently, work is actively underway on a media project dedicated to this remarkable work. As part of the project, a manuscript version of Divan Lughat at-Turk will be digitized and made accessible to the wider public.
In addition, a video will be produced focusing on the history of the work’s creation, its structure, content, and scholarly significance. This video will be included in the exhibition and developed into an interactive informational resource for visitors.
This unique masterpiece by Mahmud Kashgari, which preserves the richness of ancient Turkic languages along with their lexical and grammatical features, is of exceptional value. As such, the Divan Lughat at-Turk media project will significantly enrich the exhibition at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and provide the younger generation with deeper insights into the language, history, and culture of our people.
