“We are ready to take part in the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization” — Mamduh Osman
At a regular session of the Scientific Council of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, an online meeting was held with Mamduh Osman, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art of Saudi Arabia.

At a regular session of the Scientific Council of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, key agenda items were discussed with the participation of council members, heads of working groups, including Vice President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and Director of the Abu Rayhan Beruni Institute of Oriental Studies, Professor Bahrom Abduhalimov, Academician Akbar Hakimov, as well as the leadership and staff of the Center.
Special attention was given to the participation of international museums in contributing to the enrichment of Uzbekistan’s large-scale exhibition project through the provision of valuable artifacts.
These topics were also addressed during an online meeting with Mamduh Osman, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art of Saudi Arabia.
At the start of the meeting, Mamduh Osman noted that the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization is approaching and that work is progressing intensively. He extended his congratulations to the participants of the session.

Mamduh Osman, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art of Saudi Arabia, emphasized that the museum’s unique and rare artifacts related to Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage will undoubtedly be presented at the opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization.
“We have long-standing and friendly relations with the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. I am proud to say that a number of artifacts, manuscripts, and other unique items connected to the history of Uzbekistan, which are preserved in the Museum of Islamic Art of Saudi Arabia, will be sent for the opening and will be part of the exhibition. Following the opening ceremony, we hope to sign several agreements aimed at further strengthening our mutual cooperation,” stated the museum director.
Members of the Scientific Council expressed their support for Mamduh Osman’s initiative and warmly welcomed his proposal.
