The expedition continues: more than 150 artifacts have been selected from Bukhara for the Center of Islamic Civilization
At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the first working group of the scientific expedition conducted research at the State Museum-Reserve of Bukhara and its 17 branches to enrich the museum exhibition.

As part of this process, rare artifacts in the museum collections and reserve funds of the regional Local History Museum "Ark" were thoroughly studied.
As a result, more than 150 historical artifacts were selected, related to archaeology, textile production, carpet weaving, blacksmithing, woodworking, ceramics, ethnography, agriculture, and folk crafts. Among these items are wall decorations and various tools, representing different historical periods.

To enrich the exhibition, photographic materials related to the history of science, technology, and society were also selected from the museum’s reserve collections. Special attention was given to items associated with the lives of prominent figures — statesmen, philosophers, and artists. These artifacts were thoroughly examined as well.

During these studies, significant practical and scientific assistance was provided by the researchers of the State Museum-Reserve of Bukhara. This collaboration contributes to the further enrichment of the exhibition at the Center of Islamic Civilization from both a historical and cultural perspective.
