A book on the history of the Usman Mus'haf is being prepared

Another important step is being taken at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan in the study, preservation, and popularization of our great historical and cultural heritage. For the first time, a popular science book is being prepared on the history of the Usman Mus'haf, one of the oldest known manuscripts in the world.

This book will provide a detailed examination of the origin, historical journey, paleographic features, as well as the religious and cultural significance of the Usman Mus'haf, one of the oldest known copies of the Quran, transcribed in the 7th century and currently housed in Uzbekistan. After publication, the book will be included in the exhibition at the Center of Islamic Civilization, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about this unique manuscript of the Quran.

The primary goal of the project is to present, through this rare historical source stored in Uzbekistan, the high level of Islamic science, the culture of writing in the early Muslim world, and the traditions of Quran copying to the wider public.
