Civilizations will be presented through 3D technology on the “Wall of Time”
The “Wall of Time”, which will be part of the megaproject’s exposition in Uzbekistan, will cover periods from the pre-Islamic era up to the Timurid and Mughal dynasties. The expositions within this project, arranged in chronological order, will be presented through modern miniature art, 3D graphics, and interactive technologies. In this regard, a discussion meeting was held at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan dedicated to improving the “pre-Islamic period” section of the exposition.
During the meeting, detailed analysis was conducted on the collaborative work being carried out with Russia’s “Planet 9” design company. Representatives of the company presented a project developed for systematizing, designing, and arranging the exposition based on the content provided by the Center. The presentation paid particular attention to the potential use of artifacts planned to be displayed on the “Wall of Time”, as well as the issue of ancient maps. Proposals were put forward to develop new content related to maps based on various sources, online platforms, and software, as well as to further enrich the exposition.
Obid Tangirov, Senior Researcher at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, emphasized that the involvement of an experienced specialist from one of the world’s leading museums and the ongoing cooperation with the “Planet 9” design company are ensuring the implementation of the project with high quality and professionalism.
It is worth noting that over 2,000 local and foreign scholars, specialists, and experts are actively participating in shaping the Center’s content to be rich in substance and aligned with modern requirements. To date, more than 800 scientific and innovative projects have been developed, with their implementation planned in three stages.
