Magnificent Album Belonging to Babur Dynasty Discovered in Berlin Library
During the International Week of Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, events were held where it was reported that a magnificent album dedicated to the Baburid dynasty is kept at the Berlin State Library.
One volume of the album features ghazals, while the second contains miniatures.
Particular attention should be given to the fact that the ghazals in the album belong to Alisher Navoi and Husayn Baykara and are written in the Turkic language.
According to experts, despite the fact that the Baburid dynasty ruled for more than three hundred years, they never forgot their ancestors, people, and language. While Persian, Hindi, or other languages may have been used at the court, the most important and serious matters were discussed in Turkic, and many Turkic manuscripts were copied.
Out of the 25 copies of this album stored at the Berlin State Library, the remaining 100 copies are located in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Czech Republic, and Iran.
Cultural reforms aimed at returning the lost cultural heritage of Uzbekistan are being carried out under the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
"Work is currently ongoing to collect facsimiles of all parts of the Baburid album that are abroad and return them to Uzbekistan," said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
The Week of Cultural Heritage continues with great enthusiasm.
