Next Discussion at the Center: another step forward in project implementation
At the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, members of the Academic Council discussed the practical implementation of projects related to the First Renaissance period presented within the museum’s exhibition, including the design of content placement.
During the ongoing Academic Council meeting at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, detailed information was provided regarding the content of first-category projects and their placement design for the First Renaissance period exhibition. Content related to the First Renaissance period was presented by members of the Academic Council and scholars, while the placement design was developed by Italy’s Magister Art company.
The First Renaissance period exhibition will consist of seven capsules, covering the introduction and spread of Islam in Transoxiana, scholars who contributed to Islamic jurisprudence and Sufism, our ancestors who worked at the “Bayt al-Hikma” in Baghdad, and directions related to the Khwarazm Mamun Academy. In addition, the exhibition will be enriched with models of period-specific buildings, facsimile editions of manuscript work, and innovative media projects.
Another update for the exhibition is that Behzod Khojimetov has created two new miniatures dedicated to Ahmad Yassawi and Mahmud al-Zamakhshari, which have been submitted for review by the Academic Council.
At the end of the presentation, Ikrom Abdullaev, Chairman of the Khwarazm Mamun Academy, proposed creating an immersive show depicting the presumed appearance of the “Mamun Academy” building. The Council members agreed to implement this proposal.
Additionally, it was revealed that most of the applied art samples and artifacts related to our country’s history, acquired from the UK’s “Sotheby’s” and “Christie’s” auction houses, belong to the First Renaissance period. It has now been agreed that dedicated spaces will be allocated within the museum exhibition for these artifacts.
